Aavolyn # 2155G3, BZ-655M-4 Complete Packing


The first Milled and Drilled packing assemblies were introduced with the introduction of non lubricated compressors. Sealing materials used in non lube service ( primarily filled PTFE's) were much more susceptible to heat. Extrusion can occur along the rod, thus resulting in the loss of sealing ability. The Milled and Drilled design brings the coolant closer to the sealing area. Milled grooves on the back side of the packing cups allow coolant to circulate behind the packing grooves. With a flow pattern developed through the cups, coolant is introduced from the gland face through the milled passages and out again for recalculation.
